At 9:00 amon 6th Jan 2017, Vietnam Expressway Corporation  (VEC) held the opening ceremony of the technical bid for package no.10 – procurement of O&M equipment (JICA funded) under the Ho Chi Minh – Long Thanh – DauGiay Expressway Construction Project.

At the time of the bid closing, there were three (3) bidders submitting bids including Vietnam – Japan Technology & Science Equipment Co.,ltd, HiepHoa Equipment of Environment and Trading Co.,ltd, and VT P.L.U.S Import – Export Co.,ltd.

The package was undertaken in the type of national competitiveness with the “one stage - two envelopes” mode. At the time of bid opening, only technical bids were publicly opened and after completed technical bid evaluation, only the financial bid envelope of the technically responsive bidders shall be further opened.

The opening ceremony was held publicly with transparency and compliance with the legal regulations of Viet Nam and JICA.

Previously, on 21st November 2016, General Director VEC – Dr. Mai Tuan Anh approved the bid documents of the package No.10 in the Decision no.738/QĐ-VEC).

O&M is a necessary item for maintaining the quality of the expressway after being put into operation. Moreover, the O&M equipment shall assist VEC in actively maintenance and repairingthe damages caused by the natural disasters, traffic rescue and other damages during operation.
